Advanced Filter
I posted earlier because I was trying to get the advanced
filter to work. Now I would like to filter with two or more criterian. They will all be "Not included, or " I tried listing them down a column each cell having "Test1" and "Test2", but the only way items are excluded is when one criteria is listed. Any ideas? Thank you, Kevin |

Advanced Filter
When you enter the criteria in a column, it's like using an OR operator.
So, your criteria range tells the advanced filter that a row can pass through the filter if it is not equal to Test1 OR not equal to Test2. You want the filter to allow rows where the item is not equal to Test1 AND not equal to Test2. Change your criteria area to have multiple columns, with a heading that matches the column in the table: Item Item Test1 Test2 Kevin wrote: I posted earlier because I was trying to get the advanced filter to work. Advanced Filter
-----Original Message----- I posted earlier because I was trying to get the advanced filter to work. Now I would like to filter with two or more criterian. They will all be "Not included, or " I tried listing them down a column each cell having "Test1" and "Test2", but the only way items are excluded is when one criteria is listed. Any ideas? Thank you, Kevin The advanced filter feature has the ability to filter with both "or" criteria and "and" criteria "or" criteria use criteria ranges with two or more rows. "and" criteria use multiple criteria in the same row. to have an "and" criteria using the same criteria field twice you need to extend the criteria range one more column and repeat the column header you are using. that way you can put one of the "not" criteria in the first column and the second "not" criteria in the repeated column. |
