A CRC error usually means a bad sector on the hard drive. Try running ckdsk
/r to see if it repairs the bad sector. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. I think a CRC error at the destination would be resolved by writing to the
next available block. Will run a ckdsk just to be sure. Jim "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: A CRC error usually means a bad sector on the hard drive. I couldn't get it working. I tried Crap Cleaner and some more stuff. It may have been how the first Office was installed originally? The CD works on lots of PC's, including my own. So I have a volume license copy of Office 2007 Pro and not finding the ProPluscab file is a large issue. I see other posts around the Internet. None have found the root cause of this that I can see, including the MS Support site. -- Margolispei ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Margolispei's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/margolispei.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/office-setup/829277.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

I had this same problem (could not install 2007) and it turned out to be a RAM memory issue. After two days of trying everything in the book I pulled one of the memory modules and it installed flawlessly. -- jim@kelleys ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jim@kelleys's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/jim-kelleys.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/office-setup/829277.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
