Default Office should sync my custom dictionary among my computers

If i add a custom word at work, it should add it at home, etc. If you're
constantly working with scientific terminology or other jargon it becomes a
nuisance when you work from home/work or among different computers of your
own. There should be an option to store your custom dictionary on a cloud
and have it sync up all the time.

Umm why? How would it do that?
What a very silly suggestion.

And if cloud nine is unavailable then what? If this capability is that
important to you, I suggest you save a copy of your dictionary file to a
common location, and download it each time you log on.

I completely agree with Suggest101. This seems like such an obvious and
simple thing to do, it is hard to believe that MS has not already made this a
default feature. Any time I upgrade or have to do a re-install, I lose my
custom dictionary, and it becomes difficult to keep my laptop and desktop in
sync over time. Auto-correct settings should also be synced. I use several
abbreviated shortcut keys to automatically fill in long words that I am
constantly using. The amount of time spent teaching Word the spellings and
terms that I use is staggering.

I hope that neither "Gordon" nor "Bob I" actually work for Microsoft,
because Gordon's question smacks of either condescension or ignorance, and
Bob I's "workaround" goes directly against the purpose of technology like
Word and Sky Drive: to make onerous tasks easier. It should not be my
responsibility to do the work of Word. If Microsoft is willing to let their
customers do their job for them, then we will happily find another product
that does what we need/want for us.

I honestly don't know how I received this silly display name, but I am not
the one in this discussion group who is too lazy to put down what he is doing.

And just how is Office supposed to know what you "want"? Much less on
what computers? We already have roaming profiles which uses a server to
handle the transfer of the items in question, but for standalone
systems, the techs have to do the transfers.
