Subforms No Longer Behaving
I am looking for some assistance with my subforms in my application.
This problem is spread throughout the application since I started moving my users to Access 2003 (sp3 with latest hotfix). I have an ADP that was created in 2000 attached to a large multi tabled SQL 2000 that runs my patient database, billing, insurance, medicating and medical testing. My problem is that under Access 2000, the Master Forms that I have with one Subform with 3 linked parent/child fields (patient ID#, program ID, InsNo) will auto update and show the filtered records in the subform (the subform's record source is additionally based on a Select SQL statement). Now under Access 2003 the subforms do not automatically update and requires much "prodding" to show the records. The "prodding" refers to having to force a refresh on the subform (a command button I built into the form) and reselecting one or more of the Parent/Child fields repeatedly. When the records show, we are normally updating those records which is why I am using the Select Statement rather than a SQL view which might behave better than a fussy child. Does anyone have suggestions on corrections for this so I can move on to other upgrades and annoyances? Any help would be greatly appreciated... I havent much more hair to pull out over this! -- Jayson B. |
