Default Is MS dumping Office 2007?

I've been getting offers for the student & home edition at ridiculously
low prices these days. It reminds me end-of-life-cycle campaigns of
other products in the past.

I suspect you are the target of a Scam attempt.

No, they are ligit offers from Fey's, Best Buy, etc. where I am a
customer. I think I've even seen them in newspaper ads.

Then they are attempting to move more merchandise by decreasing their
profit margin. You will notice most retailers are selling below MSRP to
increase sales.

This is a new version of Office due out the first part of next year. It
could be that they are trying to get people to buy 2007 now instead of
waiting for the new version.
