Windows Installer Error 2203 when upgrade from Office 2002 to 2007
I currently have Office 2002 installed on my system; I've tried to install
Office 2007 several ways. I purchased software and the CD; so from both the download and the CD of Office Ultimate, I receive the error 2203. I also receive it if I try the 60 day trial. I need to get this upgrade running and am not sure what to try. I've logged in as Administrator, added Everyone group with full access to the temp folder, stopped and restarted windows installer (which often is already stopped when I check services) and deleted everything I can from the temp folder before trying to install again. I called HP, this is a laptop running VISTA, and they gave me the same suggestions and gave up. I don't think it will be worth my while to pay microsoft $49 without knowing if my problem will be solved or not. I hope to get some help here. |

Windows Installer Error 2203 when upgrade from Office 2002 to 2007
If you look at the Setup log in the %temp% folder, it should say exactly what
folder location is having the 2203 "access denied" error -- TXGuy [MSFT] "Paula H" wrote: I currently have Office 2002 installed on my system; I've tried to install Office 2007 several ways.
