"Choose assistant" doesn't work in Windows Vista 64
The "Choose assistant" feature doesn't work in Office 2003 Professional SP2
in Vista 64 and when I try to access the Assistant Gallery tab, I get a message that "There is not enough memory available to complete this Operation" I have 4 GB RAM of which 1.18 GB is in use , and a 12 GB virtual memory partition, of which 8.308 MB is in use according to the task manager, so the error message is obviously nonsens. What can the reason be, and what can I do to fix it? Trond Ruud, Norway |

It is poor netiquette to multipost. Yammering the same question
repeatedly, redundantly, and incessantly like some spoiled rotten 4-year-old brat is more likely to get you ignored rather than answered. Seems you just disproved your own contention though. :-|) But, the reason for posting to two different groups was that I didn't get any kind of response to my first posting which is a bit unusual, and therefore thought perhaps it was the wrong group for a that question. Ergo a posting to the office.misc group. Sorry if it offended your feelings. But what is the correct procedure, when not getting any response? Forget about your problem? |

Wow, you didn't get a response after waiting all of 25 whole minutes?
Have a bit of patience. Trond Ruud wrote: "garfield-n-odie [MVP]" wrote in message ... It is poor netiquette to multipost. You need to remember that people who help in these newsgroups are
volunteers. We have lives outside of the Internet (contrary to what some may think). We have families who are MUCH more important than being able to use an assistant in Office. I'll bet you do too. Post your question once and then go talk to your spouse/partner/child/friend/dog/cat/goldfish - whatever. Check back later. And *if* in a day, no one responds, it could be that either you didn't give us enough to go on or that no one has an answer for the issue. At that point you need to figure out if it's worth paying Microsoft for their help. -- JoAnn Paules Microsoft MVP - Publisher How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 "Trond Ruud" wrote in message ...
