Default I can't delete a mysterious line

There is a blank line at the end of a paragraph that I can't delete.

I have checked the "Line Spacing" and the "Line and Page Breaks" and
everything is just like it is supposed to be.

I have tried the "Format Painter" and it doesn't change anything.

I have tried the "Reveal Formatting" and "Compare to another selection" and
there are no differences with other lines/paragraphs that look correct.

Can anyone help?

By the way, this paragraph has a numbered line at the beginning with bullets
below, just like the rest of the document that looks correct.

I also just found a line of text that has the extra space above it.

I FIXED IT!!!

I selected the line of text below/above and the line of text that was the
problem and then forced the "Line Spacing" in Paragraph Format to be "0 pt"
Before and After.

Who knows if this is going to present some other problems down the road, but
this works for now.

If anyone has a better suggestion, I am open to it.

As you have seen, the spacing within paragraphs is controlled by the Line
Spacing option, and the spacing between paragraphs is controlled by Spacing
Before and/or After.

Ha! I had the same problem, and went to line spacing per your suggestion
(which was already at 0pt, and changed it to auto. Voila - the offending
line is gone! Thanks.
