Default space bar

Hi ! Thanks heaps for your thoughts,
I need to build a new multimedia presentation for a client.
The last one they contracted was built by some one else .
It was made with macromedia director and they want to keep the same
navigation.
That is, they want the user to be kept on the menu screens without the use
of spacebar and they also want the user to be able to spacebar normally
during the linear sequences of screens.
Any ideas appreciated , I don't mind using macros or vb if needed.
I'm using powerpoint 2003.
Cheers

Not sure what you mean by "the rest of the screens". Your original post
said, "Hi how do you prevent the space bar and the forward/back arrows

form
working during a presentation". It either works ("Presented by a speaker"
or "Browsed by an individual"), or it doesn't (Browsed at a KIOSK).

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Also, provide the version of
PowerPoint you are using. That usually helps with specific directions.

Thanks Bill
I was wondering how to keep the spacebar working on the rest of the

screens?

"Slide Show", "Set up show", "Browsed at a kiosk". You MUST also

provide
navigation buttons to move between slides. Only key that works is the

ESC
key to quit the slide show.

Default space bar

As I mentioned before, it is either all or none. Unless some other VBA guru
knows of some sort of SendKeys command that can disable and enable the
spacebar, you are out of luck! SORRY!

Or break the presentation into multiple presentations and link them
together?
