Default Issue with linked text box formatting

Linked text box does not hold format of cell that you are linking to in
Excel 2007 whereas they did in Excel 2003, is there any way around this?

Example
1. Create Data on Sheet1 from A1
A 1
B 2
C 3
2. Format Sheet1!$A$1so the text is blue
3. Create a chart on a chart sheet from this data
4. Add a text box
5. Select the text box and in the formula bar type “=Sheet1!$A$1”, enter

The text is black. Executing the same steps in 2003 you would have blue
text in your linked text box and whenever the formatting changed in the
source cell it would update
