Default Can anyone help with this chart?

I would like to have the following values/labels on the y and x axis of any
style of chart:

X-axis: July, August, September etc for a full financial year;

Y-axis: FB, AP, DR, LA, PC.

OR the other way around.

Presently the Y-axis simply displays the labels 'Jan Jan Jan Jan Jan' etc.

Thank you. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check out Jon Peltier's article on creating a vertical category axis:

Are the Y "values" some kind of rating? Where do the points go? What do
they show?

Thank you.

The Y "values" (FB, AP, DR, LA, PC) are milestones - certain stages of a
project. The points will show in which month each milestone is achieved.

I am hoping to have two series lines - one showing the original forecast for
the milestones, and one showing the actual months in which the milestones
were achieved.

Tis is more of a gantt chart then, isn't it? You could make a gantt type
chart, with your milestones as the tasks in the chart forecast as start
date and actual as finish, where the length of the bar indicates the
amount of slippage. Maybe do a fancier one with red bars for slippage
and blue for finishing early.

You could also use a dot plot to display this data:
