Can't drag message to subfolder

This morning, I found I no longer had the ability to drag messages to a
sub-folder. Last night Autoupdate downloaded a half dozen or so Windows XP
undates, with some first not OK but apparently redownloaded OK, for OK
versions of these were listed as done right, and when I next checked for
critical updates, none were needed. The manual method of "download to folder"
works fine, as does everything else I use in Express.
