Default Anyone else notice Office 2007 is slower starting up?

First impressions of Office 2007 is that it is noticably slower in
opening up compared to 2003.

This on a 2.8GHz w/512MB.

Outlook keeps giving me a "SearchIndexer" pop up errors (about 3 of
them at a time), and I don't have Adobe Pro installed.

Searching Google has suggestions to turn Searchindexer off, but they
still show.

Performance isn't indicative in a BETA build. This starts with RC1

What is the exact error?

Any reason you want to resize the columns? There isn't a real need for IMO.

I'll have to wait for it again, but basically it is a "searchindex.exe"
error.

Well IMO there is a real need - it's called wanting to be able to read
the full path statement as it extends past the column width...

I notice that after install "Business Contact Manager" outlook turns very,
very slow, not only starting up and hangs everytime and everywhere. Then I
uninstall BCM and speed is ok now.

How big is your PST?

You might want to reinstall WDS 3. (Uninstall then reinstall).
SearchIndexer is WDS 3 and enables Instant Search in Outlook. Are you
submitting all crash messages you get to Microsoft?

If you look at system requirements, you'll see that Outlook requires 256
MB RAM minimum, but Outlook with BCM requires 512 MB RAM. I'd presume
that just having the minimum requirement isn't going to make this beta
version very happy.
What kinds of hangs did you experience?
