Default cannot save to CD from hard drive

this is my first power point presenatatin and I need to save it to a disc to use on the laptop but when I try to save my presentation to the CD drive, I get a message that says the folder is "read only" and cannot be saved to the D drive. How do I get it to save? Thanks.

Always save to your hard drive and then use your CD burning software or the
function in Windows to actually move it to the CD. PowerPoint does not have
the capability to burn directly to CD unless you are using PowerPoint 2003,
Windows XP and the Package to CD function. It sounds like that is not what
you are using.
