No email notification from MS project

I'm assigning tasks to others and myself included to see if I can
receive email notification in outlook. No recipients receive the
email... Notifications parameters seems to be set up correctly and the
network group see no problem with SMTP server. I get errors in the
application log : Component: PjSmtpemail.Cpp, Line 400 error number:
0x80040213 and The transport failed to connect to the server. Thanks,
your help is appreciated

You may want to also post this in the MS Project newsgroup
and list the MS Project and Office products and versions you are using
