Activation of Office after reloading OS
I recently had to reload Windows XP. I then reinstalled Office (Student
Edition). When entering Word, I get the screen that tells me to activate the program. When I try to do it over the internet, I get an error message that it cannot connect (even though I have broadband connection that works for other things). When I look at the telephone option, no phone numbers/countries are showing up (it is simply blank). This is the computer I originally loaded this on to. I have no firewalls yet (I am just starting to reconnect all those) so firewall is not in way. Same thing happened in Excel. Outlook will not start at all. Tells me I need to establish a data file, but when I try to do that from the Control Panel, I click on button and nothing happens. Any ideas/thoughts? |

Hi, Swot,
See if this helps: The Microsoft Office 2003 Activation Wizard disappears when you use the telephone option to activate a Microsoft Office 2003 license: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;875452 -- Susan Ramlet MVP - Office Please reply to the newsgroups where others may benefit.
