Links in email messages won't turn blue
I just upgraded to windows 7 64 bit and had to reinstall Office 2007. Now
when ever I type a new email and I want to type a URL or copy and past a URL the URL will not automaticlly turn blue, underline and become hyperlinked. Yes I have pressed the space bar and even the enter key after inserting the URL. I have been doing this for years but now my upgraded system won't do it. My signature email address and website is hyperlinked and I can right click and add a hyperlink and that all works as it should. The message format is HTML. I have reset my browser making sure IE 8 is the default browser. I have read through several posting but I have not seen my answer. I have been copy and pasting URLs from the IE address bar into Outlook for a long time. It has always worked great. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance. -- Tbrox |

You need to learn to change the format of your email from plain text to HTML. I suggest try the help file of your Outlook. You need to learn to research for your self because nobody is going to spoon feed you here! Have you heard of Google yet? hth tbrox wrote: I just upgraded to windows 7 64 bit and had to reinstall Office 2007. Did you check the autocorrect settings in Tools, Options, Spelling,
Autocomplete button? There is an option there to convert web addresses to urls - make sure it is enabled. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Do you sync your mailbox with a smartphone or pda? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=39473 "tbrox" wrote in message ... You need to learn to research for your self because nobody is
going to spoon feed you here! Have you heard of Google yet? If everyone should google for the answers, why are you here trying to answer questions? PS he said he is using HTML. The message format is HTML. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Do you sync your mailbox with a smartphone or pda? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=39473 "LD55ZRA" wrote in message .. . priceless! simultaneously giving inadequate and incorrect information while
insulting others for not knowing the correct information. the definition of being a moron the CORRECT solution in 2007 is to go to editor options via Tools Options Mail Format Editor Options Auto-correct and check "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" "LD55ZRA" wrote: You need to learn to change the format of your email from plain text to HTML.
