Click the link I posted and read the article it brings up; the article will
tell you how to replace the file. You shouldn't lose any data, the missing file is the service provider, not the actual address book. Be sure to set the search tool to look in system folders and hidden files
and folders. If you still can't find it, it may, indeed, be missing; if it is missing, try proceeding with the re-install and skip the rename part of the article. Hello Hal,
When I did the search I could not find system folders so I tried C:/ and found it in there. The MS article you provided to rename and reinstall refers Outlook Express. My problem is in Outlook2000(Windows 98 SE)...does this matter? Please advise and thanks for your patience. Instead of going to Windows Setup, look for Microsoft Internet Explorer on
the Install/uninstall tab. If there, select it, click "Add/Remove", select Repair Internet Explorer, and click OK.
