Default Minimizing an Outlook 2003 window causes it to CLOSE completely?

Whenever I try to MINIMIZE the Outlook 2003 window, Outlook completely
closes. This also occurs when I click on the [Show Desktop] icon on the task
bar. This seems to only affect my Outlook 2003 and none of the other office
products I have.

Does the Outlook icon still show right next to the clock in the system tray
(bottom of screen, right side)? If yes, Outlook was just configured to
"hide" when minimized so it won't show on the taskbar. Just right click on
the Outlook icon right next to the clock and select the "hide" option to
turn the feature back off.
