Default Text shows up at all # symbols

I received an Excel file, and for an unknown reason, the text in just one of
the cells displays as all # symbols, even though I can see actual text in the
preview screen.

All of the other cells in the file display the text normally.

Why would this happen and how can I fix it?

Excel has a problem with text strings between 255 characters and 1024
characters if the cell is formatted as Text.

Format to General and your #### should go away.
