Removal/Install Office 2000
Hi Ryan,
well when that log file was created i did it from the share, sorry for the confusion OK, first we need to know exactly what this CD says on it, so we know the exact edition of Office we're dealing with. Then we need to know whether the key you are using is also printed on the same CD box? Then, you need to make sure all previous bits of Office have been uninstalled, then run the SETUP program from the CD, passing the command line parameters (just as you did before). Then post the verbose log file back here. I'll compare it with my own log files. We're you saying this CD works on other PCs, but not this one, or did I misunderstand that? -- Gerry Hickman (London UK) |

This cd and the cd key work on every other computer except for the one im
having the problem with. If I had to guess there is probably something in the registry from the previous install confusing it "Gerry Hickman" wrote: Hi Ryan, well when that log file was created i did it from the share, sorry for the confusion OK, first we need to know exactly what this CD says on it, so we know the exact edition of Office we're dealing with. Hi Ryan,
As you have not answered regarding the details of the writing on the CD, I'm starting to get the feeling this is not an original CD, so we don't have a baseline to test from? If you want to test this further, please review my post (one above this) and answer the questions and follow the procedure.
