Default Automatically expanding text box as I type beyond the size of the box?

Is there any way I can configure (MS Word 2000) the text box I set up to expand automatically as I continue to type the text inside the box? That is, after I have filled out the box, and I still have some text to enter, can the box expand automatically?

Click on the text box to select it, then click on Format | Text Box |
Text Box tab | check the "Resize Autoshape to fit text" box.
