Default Outlook 2003: Difference between required and optional attendees

You can specify the attendee as required or optional. It does not
appear the attendee easily sees this what does the function do for the
meeting host? Thanks

Default Outlook 2003: Difference between required and optional attendees

It doesn't really do anything special for the host - the optional invitees
are marked optional so the host don't forget but the invitees are all listed
together.
