Excel97 chart objects compatible with Excel2000 chart objects
Is Excel 07 Chart generated using vba code
compatible with Excel2000. I have an VB Application which will create data sheet and pivot table and charts using VB code. And it is using Excel97 objects. Please can anyone say whether it will work in Excel2000 (if I want to upgrade) instead of Excel97. What will be the main issues/changes which I need to do. I think the object model for graphs in Excel 97 is different from Excel 2000. Please confirm the same asap. Thanks, Vivek |

Excel97 chart objects compatible with Excel2000 chart objects
Hi Vivek -
Did you try it out? I've found few if any problems with my Excel 97 charting code running in Excel 2000. The problem is going the other way, if I use one of the newer features. There were few changes between Excel 97 and 2000 (and 2002 and 2003), and most everything in the object model was added, not removed. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services http://PeltierTech.com/Excel/Charts/ _______ Vivekananda wrote: Is Excel 07 Chart generated using vba code compatible with Excel2000.
