Unfortunatly there is no way to transfer it to another computer. You need to have the installation media. a way out is get Office 2003 Pro from some one you know and use your Product
key to reinstall it. "Eshwar" wrote: Aaron Unfortunatly there is no way to transfer it to another computer. You need to have the installation media. Before it dies, read the Product ID by clicking on Help About in one of the Office products. Look at the three characters immediately after the first - (5 characters then a hyphen then three characters.) If the three characters are OEM then it is an OEM installation. If this is an OEM installation it can't "legally" be transferred to another machine as it dies with the first machine it is installed on. In that case you would need to purchase a new copy of Office. If there are three numbers there it is a retail installation and can be transferred but you will need to find a Office Pro 2003 installation media. You can probably either borrow and copy the disk or purchase a copy from eBay. Remember it is the license that is important to Microsoft's licensing, not the media. |
