Setting up Outlook 2007 or 2003
I have an issue where I have an exchange server in house getting POP mail from the ISP, my outlook retrieves this mail from the exchange server, my issue is I need to send mail from Outlook as well and the ISP does not allow relaying (of course) so my question is can I setup Outlook to connect to the exchange server to receive mail and use the ISP pop smtp server to send mail. All with one profile or at least where the users do not have to log off? I cannot setup the exchange server to be outside. And Exchange server is needed for a case management software package that integrates with Outlook, calendar, mail etc. Thanks -- Davese |

Setting up Outlook 2007 or 2003
You can configure your Exchange server to use the SMTP server as a smart
host. Otherwise, you can still set up a POP3 account in Outlook with the SMTP server settings of your ISP and configure Outlook not to receive for this account. Then you can use the Accounts button near the send button to change the sending account if needed.
