Default 2007 Excel and Dreamweaver Web pages

When I upload an Excel workbook to a site created with Dreamweaver, it loads
without problems. When I click the link to the workbook, Excel opens
minimized, with now worksheets. I have to maximize Excel, and the sheets are
located at the bottom. Is this a mime problem, an xml, xls, html problem, or
another setting in Excel? It doesn't matter if my browser is IE6, 7, 8, or
even Firefox.
