Default delete duplicate inbox from outlook 2007

I got a new computer and didn't want to pick and choose the emails I wanted
so I took the .pst from my old computer to the new one using the XP file and
transfer wizard. I didn't think it worked so I just copied it over.

NOW I have duplicate of all the folders. The inbox, delete etc. As well as
all my personal folders.

How can I just delete the second set of folders.

I already deleted all the messages, but now I would like to get rid of the
folders so I don't use them by mistake.

I did notice something called "close name of the folder" but then wasn't
sure about the message it gave.

right now in the data files under account settings I do have two data files
listed. one is my default and the other is the file that I copied from my
old pc to my new pc - before I moved it to the doc
settings\administrator\local settings\application etc.

Not sure what it does to have two files there in data files.

Of course you would have duplicates, you have two sets of Personal Folders
Close the old data file

I just did...I wasn't sure what that would do.....

actually now I wish I would have kept two..one for my old stuff and one for
new stuff....

thanks.....

I have like 8000 emails..I would think that isn't abnormal for someone who
has had outlook for years....

do you do the compress or anything like that to clean it up after a while
