Are there any other copying options?
I have WindowsXP SP3 Word2003
Often I have to copy HTML text from a web page and then insert it into a letter. This means I have to go through the step of the "paste special" as "unformatted text" step. Is there any way to *copy* anything as "unformatted text" in the first place and so avoid the 'paste special' rigmarole? Please help, Frank |

You could create a macro that, when you run it, would paste clipboard
contents in "Unformatted Text" format. Try the following: Sub PasteUnformatted() On Error Resume Next Selection.PasteSpecial DataType:=wdPasteText End Sub Attach the macro to a toolbar button and/or assign a key combination to it; see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Frank Martin" wrote in message ...
