Deferred cell references to external documents
I have a workbook with multiple sheets containing
repeated references to different external documents. Currently I have it set up so that I have an "Index" work sheet which contains a list of the required documents and also contains hyperlinks to those documents. I can reference these "Index" cells from other parts of the work book and thus have a single point of edit for the description in the various calling cells, but I am unable to reference the hyperlink within the 'Index' cell.. If I use the Hyperlink dialogue, I just get the referenced cell's text value. If I use the HYPERLINK function to reference a cell containing a hyperlink then I get and "Invalid address error" My target here to achieve a single work sheet within the workbook that contains all the reference document descriptions and hyperlinks and then just refer to those cells from anywhere else within the workbook Any suggestions ? |
