Default Query not updating new data

I have a spreadsheet with a query importing data via QDBC from a
sql2000 table. The data imported without any issues but it dose not
refresh with changes made to the source data table.

If we change the source data with a new row, the spreadsheet just
wont recognise the new data after click on the Refresh.

One way I got around it was to recreate the query. But this is not
practical. Is this normal in MS Query?

any comments appreciated.

Regards, Eddy

Not normal in my experience
What happens if you view the results in MSQuery after adding a new row.
Do you see it?
- if not the problem is in the query or the ODBC driver or the
database
- if so the problem is in transfer to Excel, but I can't think of a
circumstance in which this behaviour should happen.
