You may need to run the "fixmapi.exe". Very simple,
totally painless.

- Click START
- Click RUN
- Type %windir%\system32\fixmapi.exe
- Click OK
- Restart the machine

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927676 for info.

Thanks for responding. I tried running "fixmapi.exe" as suggested and
rebuilt the computer's index catalog (whatever that means), but Calendar
Printing Assistant is still is not working/connecting with Outlook. Any
other suggestions?

Sorry, that about kills my knowledge base of fixes for the Calendar
Assistant. Can you share the ENTIRE error message that you get
when you try and run it?

Microsoft Office Outlook 2008 is for Mac. The Calendar Printing
assistant is for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

I do not believe they are compatible.

Do you have Outlook open when you run the Calendar
Printing Assistant?

It will be a separate "sort" of program. It is on the Start menu,
- All Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools.
Just lauch this separate application (Open it) and it will work
in conjunction with your Outlook Calendar. (It will find your
Calendar in Outlook by itself).

This confused me a bit when I first installed it. =)

Default error message when opening Calendar Printing Assistant

I did. Even if Outlook 2007 is not opened, Calendar Printing Assistant will
open Outlook when Calendar Printing Assistant is launched at Microsoft Office
Tools. I tried launching Calendar Printing Assistant with Outlook opened as
well as closed and both gave me the same error message on the Calendar
Printing Assistant screen about not being able to connect. I've searched the
internet for similar situation and found a few users with the same problem,
but without any solutions. I don't know if it has anything to do with Window
Vista or compatibility with other software I have. I even searched Microsoft
sites for what "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" means,
but it's too technical for me.

I am thinking that something did not get installed normally.
Did you use the default settings when you did the install for Office?

Is your copy of Office 2007 registered and activated?
