: So it may . That's a very grey area. Surely it was firstly up to the Op to
: use his/her conscience, and secondly, but most importantly the "mvp
: moderator" should have posted REASONS why it possibly violated the
licensing
: agreement - and not just arbitrarily delete posts.....

You need to get used to it. There will be more and more deletions and they
won't owe anyone an explanation. This is going to be a whole new ballgame.
There will be many posters who, over the years, have been vicious, posting
diatribe, senseless comments, cursing, condescension, patronizing...that is
going to be history.

And a good thing too. But deleting legitimate posts on the "whim" of a
"moderator"?

So the "My Computer is Broke" morons will win because the post will be
considered non-abrasive? This has clusterfu@k written all over it! The
MVP's and regular responders will all be in therapy after a few months of
that constant abuse and the M$ forums will turn into chat rooms for the
mentally disabled.

The "My Computer is Broke" morons will probably have difficulty in even
finding the forums. There will be some MVPs and regular responders who will
not migrate to the forums.

That's where you're wrong. They can't find Google, "any key" or the off/on
switch, but I'll be damned if they can't find M$ forums, Techarena,
Vistaheads or Egghead.

You ain't seen nothing yet boy. Carey Frisch [Microsoft Valuable
Pig] is in charge and unless you lick his ass regularly (not that
you are not licking now but you have to do it more and better),
your posts would be deleted automatically.

Well surely a newsgroup veteran like yourself knows full well that MVPs are
not Microsoft employees. If an MVP decided to delete your post then that
was an individual's decision.

Seems that "solution" would be implicitly promoting a violation of the
licensing agreement.
