Everything was working fine All my faxes come into my outlook 2007 as an
attachment from my office in an e-mail until last Friday, now when I get one
the fax attachment is blank and I get the message application not found, I
did download Adobe 9 reader last week and not sure if this caused it, any

Since Outlook no longer integrates with any fax software, you will need to
provide far more information, including what fax software you are using and
what is not happening that you think should. Include the file type of these
attachments. I do not believe this is an Outlook issue.

Hi Russ,

Thank you for the prompt response I am a Realtor and my company gives us a
Fax # that we just use for incoming faxes, they then turn them into a e-mail
with an attachment which we then open in Outlook and this is where the
problem started when I clicked onto the attachment to open it I received a
pop up message application failed and this only started last week it had been
fine before as I said I just did upgrade to Adobe reader 9 last week and then
I received a fax on Friday and got the message. I have a brand new Vista
machine with a all in one HP printer fax machine.
Now the latest is I notice the attachment is just a blank box in the e-mail
and when you double click to open it gives you the message application not
found however if you do it a second time it now opens correctly, do not know
the reason.
Maybe it is Adobe that is causing the problem and not Outlook?

You still need to tell us what the format of these attachments is. Then look
at the file association for that file type. I bet it got changed by Adobe or
some other software that you installed.

Try clearing Outlook's Secure Temporary folder.
