Default Overlay Markers

I have created a column chart with 4 columns with 2009 data. I want to add
overlay markers over those columns. Those markers will be the 2008 data. I
have done this in the past by adding the data/xy scatter graph and so forth,
but it was a long time ago and I do not remember the steps. I have tried to
paste special the data to adding those columns but cannot seem to remember.
Any help is appreciate. Thanks

Default Overlay Markers

Copy the data for the points, select the chart, Paste Special New
Series and other relevant options. Now select the series you've added,
and change the chart type to Line.
