Unable to connect to Office Online 2008 "NEW" Templates

When using any Office 2008 product and clicking on "NEW" you cannot access
the Office Online 2008 Templates feature. You can access the templates
already on your computer however.

I have a fix that worked for me with this particular error.
I use a Watchguard Firewall with HTTP Proxy w/AV filtering enabled.
The logs on the firewall do not show any blocked packs to Microsoft’s
website but apparently something is being blocked by the HTTP Proxy and this
is the cause of my error.

I ascertained this by putting Host Range: 65.55.16.57-65.55.16.150 (Some of
the many Microsoft ports) onto my HTTP Packet Filter as opposed to my HTTP
Proxy directing traffic on that host range to my HTTP packet filter.

Once I saved this configuration file to the firewall all access to the
Microsoft Online 2008 templates was restored.
