Default How do I fit an inserted .jpg to the slide in one step?

Everytime I insert a .jpg, it makes it bigger than the slide or smaller than
slide and I have to drag corners and sides all around to make it fit the
slide exactly. Isn't there a one-step option that does the "FIT TO SLIDE"
without all that resizing and moving?

Probably because your image is larger in size than the slide You should look
at the pixel dimensions of your image in a paint program. That being said
here is a solution.
Resize pictures to fill the slide
