Default "exclusive access" error message

I have a split database with copies of the front end distributed to all
users, with one common back end. One of the users, upon signing in to the
database (it is secured with ULS), gets a repeating error message to the
effect of:

"You do not have exclusive access, you may not be able to change certain
things in the database."

The user clicks OK, and the message repeats 20 or so times, before it
finally lets her into the database. After getting in, she can operate
normally within the database. Her user account is in the same group as all
other users, none of whom are having this same problem. Could it be a
setting in the installation of Access itself on her computer? Any ideas
appreciated.

Default "exclusive access" error message

Perhaps that user has Access set to open in exclusive mode by default. Look
in the Tools | Options dialog, on the Advanced tab, and check that Default
Open Mode is set to Shared.
