Open Office Document dialog
When I click the Look In drop down in the Open Office Document dialog in
Office 2007 a message box opens saying "Initilalizing root folders for display". This takes several minutes and often doesn't complete. However if I select the "My Computer" icon on the left the folder tree opens immediately. This alos happened in Office 2003 but without the message box appearing. I'm on a corporate network with several mapped network drives. How do I fix this? Thanks. -- Ellary Buffalo Grove, IL |

Open Office Document dialog
Sounds like a network configuration problem that you need to speak to your
IT staff about. It can happen if they moved the Templates folder, moved around mapped network drives, or unmapped network drives. It would be best to start there for troubleshooting since it seems to work instantaneously when working from your local drive. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
