Default On Enter Event

Hello All,
On the On Enter event of a control, I have code to save the old data before
a user changes the control. It worked good. But lately I realized that it's
not so accurate all the times.
Is there a better way to get the old data before the change?
Thanks
Abe

In what way is it not accurate?
