Default Excel "IF" function problem

Our domain uses group policy to configure user rights on
the workstations, and it appears that on certain machines,
or rather under certain user profiles, the "IF" function
in Excel returns an error stating that the formula
contains an error. This only happens with certain users,
even if they are in the same OU to which the policy is
applied. Happens in Office 2000 and XP. Machines are
running Windows 2000 Pro SP3. Can someone please help!

Does the exact same formula work on other machines? If so, please post the
formula here; if not, there is likely a problem with the formula.

It doesn't seem that domain rights should affect an IF
function on a worksheet. Could be as simple as per-machine
configurations. Try replacing the semicolin (within the
IF statement with a comma (,)or vice-versa.
