Linking to Outlook Contacts (Office 2007)
I'm trying to write some code that will allow my application users to link to
their Outlook contacts list. I have figured out how to link to this list using the External Data - Import - Outlook Folder, but cannot seem to figure out how to do this programmatically. I've tried using the Transferdatabase method, but that doesn't seem to have an appropriate database type. I'm sure I can probably do this by using the CreateTableDef method, but need to know the connection string. Anyone have the specifics for this? When I look at the connection string in mSysObjects, it lists a Mailbox and a profile, which are identical, in a format similar to : LastName, FirstName MI Mr CTR xxx yyyyy Could I use the Windows userid instead of this value? Is there anyway to query Outlook to get this value based on the windows userid? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- HTH Dale Don''t forget to rate the post if it was helpful! email address is invalid Please reply to newsgroup only. |

Dale,
Have a look at http://www.helenfeddema.com/CodeSamples.htm which has some code for Outlook Access. There may be something there which helps. Peter Hibbs.
