Office 2000 Requesting SR-1 Update
Here's the jist of my problem: when the other user on my computer tries to run any Office 2000 program, a message pops up requesting the Office 2000 SR-1 update disc. When disc is inserted and run, an error message saying "DATA1.MSI" file cannot be found (obviously abbreviated).
I posted the same question earlier and got 2 suggestions: 1. Delete the other user and copy over the "default user" with my (administrator, first user created, etc.) profile. I tried this (I think correctly) with no success. 2. Search for the missing file on the disc and run it (thus allowing the install to complete successfully). The second suggestion assumed the file in question was "PROPLUS.MSI". I searched for the DATA1.MSI file, but did not find it on the disc. At this point, I'm wondering if the SR-1 update disc I'm using is faulty in some way. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Hope I wasn't too wordy, and thanks for any help you can provide! Erin |
