Can Outlook 2003 co-exist with Word 2000, AND, corrupt .pst file
I am running Office 2000 under Windows XP Pro. I actually own Office
2007 but find Word 2007 so difficult I don't want to upgrade. My .pst file in Outlook 2000 grew to over 2 GB and became corrupted. It seems that Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST repair software offers the best bet in repairing my pst file, but their tech support people told me the recovered file needs to be used in Outlook 2003. Question - can Outlook 2003 run in the same machine with the other Office 2000 programs? I'd want to replace Outlook 2000 with Outlook 2003, but keep the rest of the suite. Thanks for ANY help and suggestions. |

Yes, but many of the integration featiures (spell check, for example, or mail merge) will not be available. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

You can use it, but personally, if buying a new version, I'd get a full
suite. You'll be happier in the long run and it will not be obsolete for a few more years. It'll be less expensive than buying outlook now and the full suite later. I would get office 2007. Among missing features with mixed versions: mail merge, can only use outlook editor, some spellchecking features missing. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. wrote in message ...
