Default how do i change the way a name is displayed in the email address?

My current view of the email address on emails I send shows both the name of
the person and the email address. How can I show the name only without the
address showing.

You change the Email Display As field for each Contact. Not sure why it
would matter or what it would accomplish.

Default Problem with email display field

When I use the address book (contacts) to post an address to an email I am sending, the program takes the entry from the Email Display field. That field contains both the receipient's name and email (ported that way from my address book in Lotus Notes). The program cannot send to the combined nameaddress and the email is returned undelivered. The email field is correctly presented. Is there a way that I can have the program take from the email field only (rather than the email display field)? Alternatively, is there a way I can format the display field to only show the email address without the name, without having to correct each address individually? Thanks.

Default Problem with email display field

#1 - Will assume that by "program cannot send" - you are referring to
Outlook (version?)
#2 - Email is returned from where - the intended recipients server or
Outlook failing to send?
#3 - "Email field is correctly presented....." where? if in the contact
form - is the email field underlined indicating that it has been resolved?
.......sounds very much like the email address is the root problem and not
the Email DisplayAs field so doubt that just changing the EDA would solve
your problem. How exactly did you port your data from Notes?

However, if you did want something to standardize the EDA field - you may
find ContactGenie Toolkit of interest -
http://www.contactgenie.com/cgtoolkit.htm but to stress, it doesn't sound
like that the EDA is the primary problem so using CG Toolkit to standardize
the EDA field won't resolve anything.
