What if I install Word 2003??
I purchased a new computer with Vista SP1 and MS Office 2007.
I hate Word 2007. It's too damn cute. Programmers and designers must live in a world unto themselves where they compete to outdo each other with cuteness and unusable toolbars. I still have the original disk from my Word 2003 installation -- what happens if I install it, remove the 2007 icon from my desktop, and use only 2003?? Seems as though this would not be a problem. But with MS, you never know. |

No problem at all as long as you uninstall Office 2007 first. Personally,
although I share your dislike of the new Ribbon feature, I do like Outlook 2007. So I recommend uninstalling Office 2007, Install Office 2003 without Outlook and then reinstall just OL 2007. (Note that you can have both Office 2003 and Office 2007 installed, but only ONE version of Outlook may reside.) -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Kickin' Ass & Takin' Names" wrote in message ... I see that Vista doesn't come with OE -- anyplace I can download it?? |

I am certain that OE is part of Windows and not available as a separate app.
Vista comes with Windows Mail that doubles as the newsreader: it is the update to OE. Terry "Kickin' Ass & Takin' Names" wrote in message ...
