Combo box text is invisible
Hello, I am working with Access 2003, XP. I generally save my database on a
USB memory stick when I use different computers. A situation occurs that causes the text on some of my database combo box to become invisible, but when I click on a section of the combo box where I believe the text should be the texts appear in the control. The combo boxes row source are base on queries. I have try creating a new combo box and also change the fore color, back color, back style and boarder style. The situation seam to affect all my databases that use a combo box and are save on my computer. Thank you for helping. -- Tim |

Combo box text is invisible
By chance, the field to which the combo box is bound is a text field and has
a Format property setting for the field in the table? If yes, this is a bug that has been reported by many ACCESS users during past week. It apparently is a bug in Office 2003 SP3, which was released by MS about a week ago. MS is aware of the bug and is working on how to fix it. In the meantime, the "complete workaround" is to remove the Format property's value from the field's properties in the table's design view. Otherwise, concatenating the field's value with an empty string also seems to "overcome" the problem. -- Ken Snell MS ACCESS MVP "Tim" wrote in message ... Hello, I am working with Access 2003, XP. Thank you Ken, I use your first recommendation and it work perfectly. The
format that I had was the use of the greater than sign () which capitalize the text. Thanks Ken. -- Tim "Ken Snell (MVP)" wrote: By chance, the field to which the combo box is bound is a text field and has a Format property setting for the field in the table?
