In a Publisher 2007 document, I have created a text box. I highlight it,
import a word document, and I get "The file is already used by Publisher." I
have created all new pub files and still get it. Even reacreated the 2007
word docx and still get it. I don't see the file listed anywhere. What's
up. How do I get the doc to flow into the text box(s) I have prepared?

Thanks in advance. :}

Is this a trial version? Have you tried Office Diagnostics found under help?

I am experiencing the same problem. My workaround..

Copy the text from Word, paste into a text box, let Publisher create text boxes
and pages for the overflow. From the Format Publication task pane, select apply
a template, select Import Word Document, apply to the present document.

No, it is not a trial version. I have not found the error anywhere,
including MS's knowledge base. Yes, I did the same workaround. It feels
like there should be a listing of what is imported for the .pub or Publisher
and that we should be able to view and delete it from there (as do other
typesetting programs). Let me know if you find a solution. Thanks again.
