Default Database will not open

I have a problem with an Access 2000 database, it will not open. The error
that is displayed is "Jet has stopped the process because you and another
user attempted to change the same data at the same time."
The database is close to 50meg.
I have tried to repair and taken a copy but no luck.
Can anyone assist on how to recover the data

Thanks in advance

Mark
