Default Access crashes when query is saved or when opening design view

I have an update query ("main query") that is based on a number of other
update queries.

The queries itself run fine. When trying to open the main query in design
view or when trying to save the main query, Access2002 crashes. Rebooting,
using Compact and Repair tool won't help, the issue seems hardware
independent.

Any advise where I should start looking?

Thanks so much in advance..... JK

Sounds like the Name AutoCorrect bug.

From the database window, click Tools | Options | General tab, and deselect
the Name AutoCorrect option.

See Allen Browne's site for more details:

Ken,

Thanks so much for this. interestingly enough, all autocorrect options had
already been unchecked.

After checking them, the query would not even run (which it did before).
Unchecking them again, old status.

Rebooting, starting everything again, surprise - it works!

Go figure. Certainly a new element to the Autocorrect bug, or at least one
I wasn't familiar with.

Thanks again, you had me in the right direction..... JK
